Creatin is a nitrogenous organic acid that is build from 3 different amino acids (Arginine, Glycine, Methionine). The human body uses Creatine to bind ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) and transport it to the muscle cells where and when there is a need for energy. This energy is set free when the ATP is broken down to ADP (Adenosine Diphosphate) or AMP (Adenosine Monophosphate). Creatine then binds the ADP or AMP again to form new ATP. This results in a more constant level of ATP in the muscle and therefore more available energy.  It is known that the liver and the kidneys can only produce a certain amount of Creatine, therefore it is recommendable for an athlete who wants to build his stamina and strength to increase the level of Creatine in the body.
